The Intelligent Platform Management Controller (IPMC) Software provides all the mandatory Tier 3, and optional VITA46.11-2022 features. The software supports a predefined set of sensors: temperature, voltage, current, fan, GPIO or OEM sensors that are constantly monitored and reported to the Chassis Manager via standard IPMB interface or to the Payload CPU/FPGA over standard IPMI2.0 Serial Basic Mode or proprietary I2C protocol.
The software is available as source code license or it can be delivered on pre-programmed microcontrollers. A dedicated IPMC software version for VITA62 PSUs is also available. For software evaluation, a VPX test card is available (P16089) along with reference designs on request.
